Sample delicious French cuisine

At first glance, Bistrot de Papa in Horní Dubenky looks like an unassuming country restaurant. But don’t let that confuse you. It is a real pearl among Czech restaurants. The food will be prepared by chef (and owner) Rémi Delacroix, who has cooked in two Michelin-starred restaurants in the past.

The great food is complemented by a friendly, family atmosphere. How could it be anything else when the restaurant is a family business.

If you want to enjoy the local delicacies, we recommend making a reservation. Although you won't find the menu on-line, rest assured that you'll have a great meal every time. Classics here include French onion soup, Provençal snails or the delicious crème brûlée dessert. You will also welcome the friendly prices.

In summer, you can take a walk here, combine a visit to the restaurant with a trip to Telč or go for a bike ride. When the weather is nice, it is pleasant to sit in the garden or on a deck chair by the pond.

Did you know...

The name for the restaurant was invented by the then three-year-old daughter of the chef and owner. When asked what name she would choose for the bistro, she replied "de Papa" - that is, Papa's bistro.
