Our bike ride starts in Jimramov. This unassuming town near Nové Město na Moravě can boast a whole pleiad of famous townsfolk. For example, there were the Mrštík brothers, Jan Karafiát, Karel Slavíček, M. J. Sychra, František Žemlička, Čeněk Dobiáš or Bohuslav Kozák. You can get acquainted not only with them, but also with the history of the town at the permanent exhibition located in the Upper School building near the statue of St. John of Nepomuk. Before you hit the pedals and head out on the trail, be sure to come take a look.

Route description or Where to go

The cycle path leads to Nový Jimramov, Jimramovské Paseky and Líšná. From there you go over Buchtův kopec Hill to the Svratka River as far as Českých Milov and Milov. From the village of Samotín you continue to Krátké and then to Sněžné and Kuklík. Followed by a climb to Odranec. Further stops are at Věcov, Míchov and Jimramovské Pavlovice. From here it is only a short way back to Jimramov.

Where can I stop on the way?

  •  In Sněžné you will find a Japanese Garden, which its owner has been building since 1996.
  • You can also visit the small Sněžné Gallery. It offers seasonal exhibitions of contemporary painters and also sells sculptures and items crafted from slate.
  • In the village of Krátká stands a fairy-tale farmhouse. It carries the name House of nature and houses an exhibition that presents the local landscape over time.
